Product Terms and Conditions

Product Terms & Conditions:  Our products meet the manufacturer's warranty standards when they are delivered. It is the obligation of the customer to meticulously inspect all products at the time of delivery. For White Glove deliveries, please inspect the merchandise thoroughly prior to signing the Proof of Delivery receipt. In case the item is damaged, please refuse delivery of that item. Any damages (broken, scratches, etc.) that appear on the product during delivery, will be Scarlett James Home Decor responsibility or the Delivery Agent to either repair or replace. For all other deliveries it is the responsibility of the customer to inform Scarlett James Home Decor immediately, within 24 hours by email at info@scarlettjameshomedecor.com if a product comes with damage and was refused. Damages of delivery not refused on the delivery paperwork will not be the obligation of the delivery agent or Scarlett James Home Decor.

Scarlett James Home Decor will take care of any matters with the delivery agent or manufacturer. Please verify your delivery promptly and scrupulously. Any and all defect product or other concerns must be put in writing on the delivery papers prior to signing. It is the obligation of the customer to inform Scarlett James Home Decor within 24 hour of the delivery of any damages relating to the delivery.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES:

All sold merchandise must be returned within 30 days of delivery.

However, customer is responsible for freight and delivery charges both ways, and there will be a re-stocking fee of 20% to 50% of the purchase price. For more information, please contact us by email at info@scarlettjameshomedecor.com.

RETURN ELIGIBILITY

Products must be in new condition and in the original packaging to be eligible for a refund (do not assemble or modify the product in any way). The products that cannot be returned are:

  • Clearance Items
  • Special Items
  • "Non-Returnable" items (if applicable)

ORDER CANCELLATION

Orders placed with Scarlett James Home Decor are submitted to the manufacturer on your behalf. At this point, Scarlett James Home Decor is financially obligated to purchase the items from the manufacturer. Thus, we are only able to accept order cancellations within 24 hours from the time the order was placed. In the incident we accept a cancellation past the 24-hour period, the order will be subject to a 20% - 50% restocking fee of the purchase price.

All orders are attempted be processed by Scarlett James Home Decor within 72 hours of receipt of payment for items that are in stock.

Many of our curated upholstered pieces, artwork, rugs, and mirrors are made-to-order. Because these custom pieces are not warehoused, lead times can range anywhere from 12-24 weeks. Please contact us at info@scarlettjameshomedecor.com for questions regarding your orders status, or to inquire onlead times for a specific item.

Item specific shipping timelines are noted on the product page at end of the description. Any back order/preorder timelines will also be noted on the product page. Please note that the shipping timelines will need to be added to the back order/preorder timeline. 

Scarlett James Home Decor is based out of the Hudson Valley, NY and we work hard to be able to service all of our clients across the country. In order to do this, we have partnered with third party delivery providers in different locations across the country. Each location's White Glove Agents operate differently and we help manage that relationship on your behalf to receive, store and deliver your items to your home.
 

White Glove Delivery: This is a full residential delivery service, and is required for large, heavy, or fragile items. The shipping service will contact you to schedule a time to deliver the purchased merchandise to your front door. Please ensure your space is prepped and ready to receive the furnishings. In the event an appointment is missed or delayed by the customer, rescheduling is required. Rescheduling fees may apply. For more information, please see additional DELIVERY information below. 

*Please note due to circumstances surrounding COVID19, white glove delivery will not be able to enter your home.

  • We cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes; we require a street address.
    • White Glove Delivery is provided for some of our products. Your items may be brought into your home, most are unpacked and assembled.  Upon White Glove delivery please inspect the merchandise thoroughly prior to signing the Proof of Delivery receipt.  In case the item is damaged, please refuse delivery of that item.  White Glove Delivery is only available in the contiguous 48 states.
    • To provide a bigger selection, we ship from warehouses all over the country. Some stock items can be shipped within a few days. Other items may require a longer time of 12-24 weeks.
